Physiotherapy & Health Assessment Manager

Location: Bath

Salary: £42,000 to £42,000

This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. 

Alternative hours and job opportunities may be available in the department upon request.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Chartered Physiotherapist
  • Must be a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
  • Must be Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC)
  • Knowledge of CSP and HPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools
  • Knowledge of Human Resource policies, tools and techniques, including interviewing, conducting performance reviews, performance coaching and formal HR processes e.g. disciplinary meetings
  • Experience of managing a team(s), mentoring and teaching
  • Proactive and driven to succeed
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management
  • Results driven, possessing a proven track record of delivering against targets
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good financial awareness and control
  • Understands the financial imperatives within the business model
  • Adept at communicating financial information
  • Produces robust investment / budgetary documentation
  • Anticipates, manages and monitors risks and deliverables

Duties of this role include:     

  • To be responsible for the management and daily running of the Physiotherapy Department within the the clinic
  • To provide clinical direction and leadership for all physiotherapy staff
  • To co-ordinate and manage the provision of physiotherapy services in the clinic
  • To ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory and best practice frameworks
  • To manage 3rd party service providers where appropriate
  • To liaise with the regional reps, clinical steering group (and commercial managers) as appropriate
  • To take an active role in supporting the implementation of national developments locally
  • To provide feedback and information when requested on various national initiatives.
  • To ensure the department maintains physiotherapy accreditation
  • Management of clinical caseload
