Field Sales Engineer

Location: Tyne and Wear

Salary: £18,000 to £35,000

We are seeking an innovative, positive and personable Technical Sales Engineer who will represent the company and the services that we offer. A strong technical background in process and applications is imperative for this position as you will be required to produce intelligent technical opinions/solutions to applications presented to you. It is essential that you will readily develop a thorough understanding of Expert’s capabilities.

The Technical Sales Engineer will manage existing and new accounts, selling to engineers and middle/upper management. Our primary industries are automotive and aerospace, with customers ranging from OEMs to 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, however, our overall customer base is completely diverse.

Due to the nature of the work, time will be split between our premises in Washington (North East, UK) and visiting customers on-site. Our customers are based locally, nationally and globally, and as the company’s growth continues travel may be required outside of the UK.

Key Responsibilities

A fully comprehensive sales process, including: * Initial customer contact * Presentation of the solution * Development of the quotation * Final negotiations

Introducing Expert to existing/new customers

Immediate response to RFQs

Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers


Essential Skills and Attributes

Experience of tooling/ automation/ robotics/ joining processes Technical engineering background HNC or above in mechanical and/or production engineering Writing quotations and presentations Lead generation Good interpersonal skills Good presentation skills Good time management and ability to prioritise workload Pro-active work ethic
